Classes begin the week of June 1!

We have officially built our metal structure that will hold our 6 bags plus the 3 bags already up.  We will begin holding classes the week of June 1!.  The cardio boxing & kickboxing is for all levels but will be geared towards having a great workout.  Every ability level and ages 13+ can participate.  High level boxing will be geared toward those wanting to compete or improve their skills for a stand up fight/self defense!  NOTE:  Our instructors insurance coverage will not allow contact boxing  at this time.  We are looking for insurance that will allow sparring.  Use of mits, bags, etc will be used but no sparring/contact boxing allowed at this time.

Thursday Night Trainer:  Marcus Henry (Former Competitive boxer for the United States Boxing Team and attendee at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.  Marcus will be using his years of experience to make sure you have a quality class in cardio boxing!

Tuesday, Wednesday Mid Day and Tuesday night Trainer:  Coach Justin Hale is the head Jiu-Jitu coach at Wendell Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Justin is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has experience in Krav Maga and Muay Thai.  With his experience in all 3 of these martial arts, coach Justin will offer you a fun and challenging experience in kickboxing!

NOTE:  We will be adding more classes and times if this program is a hit for the Wendell Community!

Cardio Kickboxing Class:
Fee:
  $12
Time:  Tuesday/Wednesday 11:15am-11:45am and Tuesday night 8:15pm!
Level:  Beginner-Intermediate
Style:  You will receive beginner-intermediate level instruction so that you can kickbox with confidence with the goal of increasing heart rate and improving cardiovascular conditioning!
Equipment Needed:  Boxing gloves/hand wraps (please support local and purchase these at Ritch's Gym).  Optional equipment will be wrestling shoes!  If you choose not to purchase wrestling shoes, you will go barefoot.  Be aware that it is very easy to create blisters/calluses on the bottom of your feet if you choose to go barefoot!

Time:  Thursday 5:45pm-6:15pm!
Level:  Beginner-Intermediate
Style:  You will receive beginner-intermediate level instruction so that you can box with confidence with the goal of increasing heart rate and improving cardiovascular conditioning!

Intermediate/Advanced Boxing Class:
Fee:  $18
Time:  Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm
Level:  Beginner-Advanced
Style:  This class is directed to those who want to learn self defense and to possibly compete.  This class will be a great workout but geared more toward improving skills to fight/self defense!   Due to our instructors insurance coverage, no contact/sparring with one another will be allowed at this time.  We are working on finding coverage that will allow this.
Equipment needed:  Boxing gloves/hand wraps (please support local and purchase these at Ritch's Gym), mouth guard and wrestling shoes.

Personal Training:
Time:  To be set up with one of the coaches
Level:  Beginner-Advanced
Style:  This is where you can learn at your pace.
Cost:  $25 for 30 minutes!  Disclosure:  Marcus & Justin will allow up to 2 persons in a personal training session.  Each person will still be responsible for paying $25 for the 30 minutes!
